The vanilla beans that we sell at Mahalakshmi Exports as a Dried Vanilla Beans Exporter are long, thin pod which is the fruit of one type of orchid. Our vanilla beans have quite a sweet, fragrant aroma, as well as woody or smokey flavour. Since the growing and harvesting processes are labour-intensive and time-consuming, pure vanilla is costly. The pods are hand-picked and promptly immersed in boiling water to stop their development.
The vanilla bean has no flavour or scent at first. Curing the beans in the sunlight and covering them to perspire at night for up to 20 days is required. They would then be air-dried in a room for 4-6 months to allow the scent and flavour to develop.
Our beans are traditionally cured utilising the Bourbon curing method, which produces a deep, complex vanilla taste comprised of over 200 organic ingredients that artificial vanilla cannot effectively duplicate. After pollination, the entire process takes months, and our growers have transformed vanilla refining and curing into a true art form. We continue to set the industry standard for manufacturing vanilla with a high vanillin concentration.
